Country : Czech Republic | WTM posted @ 2021-11-20 5:22 PM I believe that the fifth puzzle, Tapa Like Loop, has four solutions and I don't see any reason why any of the solutions could be incorrect. While I was solving, I went with my gut and entered the solution that seemed most likely, and I got my points. But there are two places where the loops may or may not cross (first column, 5/6th row and last row, 7/8th column), and I don't believe the rules prohibit the crossing in any way.
I don't know whether the organizers already know about this, or if I made a mistake somewhere, but if the puzzle really has multiple solutions, it would be better to give a disclaimer or something. |

Country : India | We are aware of this. We added both the possible answer keys that come from it, and we aren't giving a disclaimer because it is the main competition and we want everyone to approach it with the same knowledge base.
The WPC policy on non-unique puzzles is consistently applied here. |

It currently doesn't really state anywhere in the puzzle booklet that different loops can only cross when they visit the same cells. |

We agree that it would have been helpful to include the beginning paragraph into the PB. Sorry for not thinking this through enough. |

Country : Canada | Craig: I really enjoyed this round of puzzles - even though I had to restart a few of them several times until I could break out of old single-loop-puzzle habits. Really fun and unique to solve. Thanks! |
