There will be two parts
Part 1 by TTHsieh and Minfang Lin (mostly all Classic)
Part 2 by Oddest (mostly Standard Variations)

Last time when they created the mock for us, there was nice Chinese poem. Lets see what is there this time.

Hi,

I want to ask something. In the instruction booklet it is stated that we have 50 minutes solving time for round1 and then 20 minutes resting time and at last another 50 minutes to solve round 2 which sums up to 120 minutes. From this statement I understand that a puzzler is only allowed to start round 2 just after 70 minutes passed from he clicked start round 1 button. Will start round 2 button be disabled during this 70 minutes. I think it should be. Because other way one may click it to deal more with round 2 puzzles including the variants not the classics. Or he/she may click this button before the completion of 20 minutes resting period which leads to an advantage among other puzzlers. I just wanted to clearify this point. Thanks for the competition,

Zafer

Short Answer - Start Round2 button will be disabled until 70 minutes are passed after Round1 started.

Here is what will happen exactly -

Before the mock starts (8PM IST 27-Feb) -> Round1, Round2 disabled

After mock start (after 8PM IST 27-Feb) -> Round1 enabled, Round2 disabled

After you start taking Round1 till first 50 minutes -> Round1 enabled, Round2 disabled

between 50 minutes and 70 minutes -> Round1 disabled, Round2 disabled

after 70 minutes -> Round1 disabled, Round2 enabled

after 120 minutes -> Round1 enabled, Round2 enabled, but you can't submit the answer

after mock ends (8pm IST 28-Feb) -> Round1 enabled, Round2 enabled, but you can't submit the answer

Show Examples will be enabled all the time.

Hope it is clear to everyone.

Also, even if you finish round1 before 50 minutes, you can start Round2 only 70 minutes after your started round1.

So for example, if you finish all the sudokus in Round1 in 40 minutes after you started Round1, you have to wait for 10+20=30 minutes to start round2.

Also, during the 20 minutes break while you are waiting for Round2, you can click on the 'Refresh' button next to 'Show examples' to see how much time is left. Once 20 minutes is over, 'Start Round2' button will be enabled.

I suggest that the next time you have a multi-round mock test like this one, you treat the two rounds independently, so one can do one round early in the day and do the other round late in the day. There's no real reason not to have this flexibility given the "any time mock" system. It's not immediately apparent that the two rounds have to be taken together.

Chris, whatever you mentioned about multiple rounds is definitely the best one.

Here is my personal opinion :-
First of all, I don't like multiple rounds, when it is Online. Players who solve on paper always loose time because of pdf password, printing etc.
I would always prefer a single longer round than multiple smaller rounds.

thank you for all players who participated in mock test 14 :)
for someone metioned why it has two rounds, the two rounds are designed by different people, it's difficult to calculate bouns if we put all puzzles together. at first, i only want to a mock test with classic sudoku, but i also know many players want to solve variants, so i ask another one to do variants. we want the test in 2 hours because it's better to test players ability in classic and variants, sustained attention in two 2 hours. Deb metioned printing, in my opinion, every player will spend time to print, it's fair. our original intention is everyone will enjoy our puzzles, and harvest by playing our puzzles, i will analysis round 1 after the test end.

These 'Mock Tests' provide opportunities to players to solve Sudokus in a time-constraint-ed environment. This will only help them in 'Actual' competitions.

With 'Any Time Mock', players can find ways to cheat the system, but in reality they will be cheating themselves.

I think there is a grid without solution ....

I do it 3 times and each time, there was a contradiction wich prevented me from continuing the resolution... :(

I suppose it is XV. My solution was accepted, but there is one missing V sign between r1c1 and r2c1.
