Method 1 : Enter the number of consecutive white cells in the marked rows or columns. (For R2 key is 142, For C3 key is 23)

Method 2 : Describe the marked rows or columns or diagonals, using 1 for black cell and 0 for white cell. (For R2 key is 0110000100, For C3 key is 1110011000)

Method 1 seems easier to enter as the second one is error prone.

I go for Method 1 too.
