Hitori

Method 1 : Number of shaded cells in each row

Is this the best possible answer key. Isn't it too much counting and typing?

Method 2 (Suggestion from Valezius) : Write the lengths of separate unpainted cell blocks in the marked rows / columns.

Hitori

Answer Key : Number of shaded cells in each row

Hi!

The hungarian puzzle test in this month will contain a hitori.
We use the usual TAPA answer system.
Write the lengths of separate unpainted cell blocks in the marked rows.
For instance the example's 3rd row: 221

I would like suggest this method.

Hi,
I would suggest entering row(s)/column(s)/both where the shaded cells are entered as 'S'.
Ex :- For 5th row, 3rd column
5th row : S845S13 3rd column : 25S34S8

Regards,
Ravi.

I like this method. Also, if more and more puzzles can have similar method of entering (like Tapa answering method), it will be consistent.
