I have seen a similar one as a whatsapp fwd.
Can this be considered language neutral?

Can this be replaced by certain everyday symbols/objects which are woven into the picture?

I don't think this is culture neutral. A similar discussion took place in the last Puzzle GP about 'Word Search' being culture neutral or not. I think not.

Imagine this scenario: If there was a Chinese Word Search with Chinese alphabets and Chinese words to find, wouldn't an average Chinese find it faster than an average European/Indian? I think same holds true the other way around.

What if the words are known puzzle names? Will take some effort, but takes away culture neutrality in my opinion, especially if we manage puzzle types in the IB somewhere.
