Question about logo : are we having a particular theme for the whole event?
or does the logo need to be generic?

Rohan and I had a quick discussion and I think the general theme that we all agree upon is LMI (A lot of our themed rounds might be based on popular LMI contests)
Rohan and I agreed that a logo with LMI colours and dots will fit the theme well

I have some logo ideas/themes/designs. Do I share it here or over email?
These are just some ideas/sketches/drawings... I thought it may help in direction towards coming up with a good logo.

I've asked a couple of design people I know to give it a shot, will send those out sometime next month.

Put them here. But don't upload huge files. Upload them in your blog or somewhere else.

I'm planning to post at least 2 ideas/themes every month. Some of them are just rough designs, some are just themes, some are proper logos... so its going to be a mixture. Few of them are made by me, so they are going to suck, the intention is more to get a feel of what will work and what won't. The idea is to get feedback/views which can ultimately lead to a good final logo.
Also, from next month, I'll try getting some logo ideas/designs from professionals :-)

I like design #1, the big circles with small circles. There is scope for making some puzzles based on that.

The font used is not good, to be honest.

I am a bit concerned with the merging of the colours. It is very difficult to print that on T-shirts for example.

I like the third one from that perspective.
It is good that you put these together Rohan, else it is difficult to consider these points with a blank slate.

Is two different (but similar) logos a good option? For example, ISC-IPC, LMI Certificate top right, etc.

yes, I do agree with Prasanna that two different (but similar) looking logo should be good option. e.g. in for Sofia there were two different logo for each championship (WPC and WSC) which were merged together to get one full championship logo.

I like this logo (AMIT1) more than any other so far. Mainly because it looks more professional.

The background coloring also look good to me. Can you add the required text (26th wpc and 12th wsc etc)?

I made something similar (based on another copied idea). I will send this one with edits and that one, soon.

This looks good.
Only concern is that it might not look good against a lighter background.
Can we try boxing this inside a darker colour? (say dark blue?)

Can we see how it looks when the circle sizes are same for all colors. Just different orientation / angles.

This one looks best so far

Looking at it again, D#6 is really good.

Want to check couple of alternatives
1) For same color, circles sizes in reverse order
2) All circle sizes same. Possibly add text WSC/WPC/India inside the text. [ We need to put these 3 somewhere anyway ]
3) Everything same in D6, except that the smaller circles are little larger than what they are now.

Design 7 (Reworked on the logo that Amit's shared earlier. Its not as good as that one, but it gives a fair idea of how it'll look)
I can work more on this if it is good.
I like D6 better though.

I like it too, I am wondering if the Circles can get bigger and fit in the messages 12th WSC, 26th WPC and Bangalore, India respectively on each colour.

One more thing. Will we be using name of city as Bangalore or Bengaluru? We have to decide on one name and have to consistently using that name throughout.

I like Design-6 even more now, after trying out numerous iterations.

Adding WSC/WPC to this logo isn't looking nice. Will think of some other ways of including it. Btw, the logo and the text can be two separate pieces too.
