What you meant by dark rule ?
I assume if what you meant is that "All Odd Sum Pair's are given" then answer is "NO". i.e. there is no converse rule.
And same is the answer for Odd Even Count, no converse rule applicable. i.e. not all circles are given. |

Favourite: Odd-Sum Pair
Wasted 5 minutes to get printer working properly :(
Though I think everyone has their share of printer-horror stories.

Very nice set. For the 6x6 No Even Neighbours, I directly filled the 5 remaining cells of the answer key (3rd row ) without putting any other digit :- ) |

The main problem was the answer keys, because there were few sudokus where I filled less than half cells. It's perfect competition for the beginners, although I found the last puzzle very very uncomfortable to solve (quite hard ). So, it matches the idea about not to put too hard puzzles there, just you need to use a bit more narrow solving paths or just work more with where to putt the andwer keys. |

Can you specify the Sudokus where you filled less than half cells ? . I hope they were all 6*6 size sudokus where this was possible. I like your idea of having bit more narrow solving paths, which will reduce this issue to some extent in such small grids. The challenge was, we are experimenting to have just 1 answer key for 6*6 size sudokus instead of 2 answer keys which we usually have. So I believe it is difficult to find just 1 row or 1 column which will be filled last in 6*6 size grids. But definitely we can improve the choice at least in some of them, for e.g. No Even Neighbor 6*6 as pointed by Rohan. Will try our best to improve upon that in upcoming tests.

A fun and excellent test!The pattern of digits and the theme in almost all the sudokus were really nice. I greatly enjoyed solving No Even neighbours (12 ) which forced me to use some marking for odd/Even that I usually forget in sudokus. The Odd Even Count was exciting too .I enjoyed spotting the triplet (3-4-5 )in the middle Box.In addition,I remember doing something with the 6 which was really good too.Of the Classics, the 1-9 theme and O and E theme stood out.I never really thought about points as I completed all sudokus until the last digit was put even though the answer keys came earlier.Had my own share of problems in the form of catridge drying out and me replacing it in the middle of the test,printing the alignment page (which I was forced to do )but they never diminished my experience of the test in any way. About the answer keys and the choice of rows/columns: I didn't care that much about codes on this tournament, perhaps because since WSC I'm used to fill all cells in each sudoku I solve.
However I also noticed here and there that the choices of rows/columns for answer keys were not always optimal.
On a few 9*9 sudokus, the 2 rows/columns choosen covered only 3 regions (for example on 9*9 No Even Neighbours). While it can be a good choice for some sudokus, you have to be sure that these 3 regions are really the end of solving path of this sudoku. It's always a risky choice. On the 9*9 No even neighbours I found that it was not optimal. |

Country : India | Once again congrats to Top 3 Indians as well as Overall. Top 10 list are usual puzzlers with some notable new names of Anil Thakur (2nd) and Shaheer Rahman (10th). Also the performances by shankarsudhir, Mamta and Pranav are worth noting.
Stats:
Total 322 players participated with 299 players having nonzero score.
Standard 6x6 1st was submitted by most people. Top rated puzzles were 1) Odd-Even Count (6x6) - 9.79 2) Quadro (9x9) - 9.48 3) Classic (9x9 - 3rd) - 9.23
In the solution booklet you can find who created which Sudoku.
I would like to thank Deb for giving us opportunity to author this round. I would also like to thank Rishi for testing this round and his feedback. Thanks once again to all participants.

D stands for disqualified.It usually happens when the organizer (s )or the administrator is fairly certain that the contestant has used 'unfair' means to reach the score that he/she eventually did. |

We have automated means to detect suspicious timings, and so we have disqualified you. If you want to pursue this, you may contact us on logicmastersadmin@gmail.com, but remember that you will come under scrutiny at the offline finals to see if you really do possess this level of speed, and if not, we may ban you from competing in future contests.

you have stated that you have detected suspicious timing . many contestants have finished much before mine was that not suspicious?. also in puzzle ramayan i have not solved all the puzzles. i have solved as much as i could.if at all if any unfair means were to be used. i could have given solutions for all 22 puzzles . i respect your decision. if at all you do not allow me to participate, i do not mind.but reason given to disqualify was not satisfactory. rules should be same to all.only myself was disqualified. that is disappoiniting & discouraging. THANKS
You seem to be more concerned with the reason given for your dis-qualification rather than for the fact that if there were any truth behind it.
Understand that it is never in the interest of the organizers to intentionally disqualify or discourage anyone.The people that you seem to accuse (the ones who have taken lesser time than yours )have all been representing their national teams in World sudoku championships and/or regularly featuring in LMI tests.Their performances both offline and online are consistent (Just click on their names and you can see their Rank score,Prorated score etc., over a period of time ).Also remember that if someone solves unfairly and reaches the top 50,not only does it not seem right but it also robs a spot for a person who has been solving fairly and deserves a place in the finals.
Despite all this,if you still think that there has been a 'grave error' committed when it came to judging you ,you are free to take up the issue at the email-id provided.But also keep in mind the caveat that has been given.

remember that you will come under scrutiny at the offline finals to see if you really do possess this level of speed, and if not, we may ban you from competing in future contests.
